There's a small box left out on Gambit's coffee table, little more than a shoebox without a lid on it. Inside are playing cards with short notes scrawled on the backs. The symbolism of his choices of cards could very easily whiff right over the top of someone's head, but he's picked each card carefully. And the notes may be short, but he's never been good at this goodbye thing.

Ten of hearts. Note: "Take care, chere. You've still got people looking out for you. Don't go fighting them about it."
