FOURTH WALL - Joint Post
GAMBIT: Will be lurking around Good Spirits both nights, keeping an eye on who comes and goes. There will probably be much card shuffling.
NOA: Will be busy running around town the entire time and getting into everyone's business. Anyone, anywhere, any time, she'll be there and will be fascinated by all.

Hm... do all humans talk like you? [It's kind of strange!]
no subject
Non. Jus' us Cajuns. [Beat.] ...People who come from the same area as me, that is.
no subject
Humans are absolutely fascinating. Thank goodness they aren't really extinct.]
I wonder if it's like that with fairies, too... though I haven't met any outside of Fern Gully.
no subject
[This is really kind of cute.
And he'd probably have more time to dwell on that thought if his palms weren't itching so badly with the kinetic charge overflow. Not. Touching. Anything.]
no subject
Just going to continue buzzing around, but she'll be sticking close to Gambit since she doesn't want to leave him alone before she can change him back.]
What is this place? [Curiosity always seems to get the better of her.]
It can't possibly be a tree, is it something humans made?
[Oh, oh, oh!]
And what about the white that falls to the ground? It turned into water as soon as I touched some of it! Did humans do that, too? [Lives in an Australian rainforest. WHAT IS SNOW???]
no subject
This place we're in now? It's called Good Spirits. Humans built it.
[Not laughing. Nope.] The white stuff's called snow. That's nature's work. Can't take credit for that one.
no subject
And that other point is pretty interesting, too.]
That's amazing! I wonder why Magi never mentioned it before... although I'm not sure if she'd know about, either. There's never been any snow in FernGully. [SO MANY NEWS THINGS. ;A; <3]
no subject
[Not entirely sure he wants to know, he just shakes his head and chuckles.]
As for the snow, we never got it much 'round where I grew up either. Don't t'ink it's snowed there in a years.
no subject
You don't? [How interesting! :D] What's your home like? Where [What was that word he used again?] Cajuns live?
no subject
[HE DOES NOT BELIEVE IN VOODOO, HE DOESN'T HE DOESN'T]
We live in a city on the edge of swampland. Lotsa music an' good food, always somethin' happenin'. [Especially during Mardi Gras. He really misses Mardi Gras.] Only downside is the gators. [And the Assassins, but that's another story.]
How 'bout you, petite? What's your Fern Gully like?
nuke this thread is too cute i can't handle it
[Buuut she'll listen intently to the details of his own home. It sounds amazing, but... always something happening? Really? Wouldn't it get tiring if there was always something happening?
... Oh, but he asked her about Fern Gully, didn't he?]
It's the most wonderful place! It's always warm, the plants and animals are all very good, and we do our best to make sure that the balance of nature is safe. [Or... at least Magi was trying to teach her as much. Though Crysta never really paid much mind.]
Though humans haven't lived there for ages. Everyone thought they went extinct ages ago. [But here she is, talking with one! And her father said that she was too old for human tales, pfft.]
I know, it's just. too cute. ;_;
Always warm, lots of plants... he's getting a vague idea of the place.]
Well... we ain't extinct where I come from, at least. Jus' about everyone here's got dif'rent stories, though.
it is ;; I just... I can't.
Well, I'm not sure they're really extinct where I'm from, either... Batty said that there were humans near Mount Warning. [She was actually going to go over there to see if that was true, but... well, Crysta ended up here, instead.
... Oh, that reminds her!]
Also, if I can't change you back myself, I could take you back to Fern Gully! I'm sure Magi would be able to help you - and everyone could see that there are still humans around!

[...Which raises the question of "is this shrunken state permanent?"]
no subject
No, that can't be right! I have to return to Fern Gully! We should all be able to go home!
no subject
[Sorry, Crysta.]
no subject
I'm sure there must be some way! We'd just have to figure it out! [There's always a solution to everything. If she can find a way to work her magic to get Gambit back to normal, she should be able to figure out something to send them all home, too!
She just... has to come up with that first one.]
