Anybody up for givin' a homme a hand haulin' a sofa up some stairs? Gotta get dis t'ing up to the roof of Community Buildin' 1, and it's a heavy li'l sucker.

[Later on, once he's gotten Adele's abomination of a sofa dragged up to the roof, it's showtime. Or, well. Will be showtime after dark. Best effect at that point, after all. You can't go doing something crazy and stupid without doing it to the full effect. At least not when your name is Remy LeBeau.

The sofa will eventually be charged up to high heaven, shoved off the ledge, and blow up for everyone's viewing pleasure.

[Because he may have been deliberately instigating, but hell, he's curious to see what Stark comes out with for the occasion.]

[When he does show up at CH1--mind you, he's actually arrived in a reasonable amount of time for once--both of his arms are nice and dressed up with their appropriate armor. Yes, that is all he will need.

But when he finds the couch still on the stairs, he doesn't, you know, move to help or anything.]

...Seems like you've still got a ways to go with this thing.

[You, Tony Stark, are a rather unhelpful man. Gambit gives him a look for a moment, silently weighing if the other man is going to make a move to help, before deciding that he definitely doesn't seem like he is.]

...Oui. It's pretty heavy.

Good god, it really is a monster. No wonder you want to blow it up.

[Oh, he's very helpful! He'll just stand here and coach you through the process.] Should I cheer you on? Would that help?

[Gambit pauses, eyeing the armor.]

I dunno, homme. You got pom-poms stashed in there?

No, but I do have a popcorn maker should I need to sit back and watch.

T'inkin' ahead, ain't you.

[Well, he's not getting any help here. After a moment's pause, carefully considering his options, he gets the monstrous sofa on an angle so he can start pushing it up the stairs.]

[He'll just lean against the wall here and be entirely unhelpful in any way, shape or form.]

You keep up the pep talk, mon ami, an' I'm lettin' this sofa get you.

[Totally ridiculous sounding threat? Yes. Something that is actually somewhat threatening? Also yes.]

Oh dear god, please, no. I don't doubt that thing has a malicious conscious that is just waiting to eat some innocent bystander. Really, you're heroic just for handling it. So. Kudos.

[Soft, amused snort. And then a grunt as he gives the sofa a solid push up a few stairs. And squashing down a growing urge to charge the railing to go off behind him in Tony's general vicinity.]

Hey, you ain't seen this t'ing eatin' socks an' other bits'a furniture.

No, but I believe it. It's a monster. That's loud and clear.

[Man, is this going to take all day? He might deign to help just to speed up the process.]

[He's got this. But there's a reason they left Colossus to all the really heavy lifting. It's a little slow, but he's got the sofa on a steady ascent. No sofa has any business being this heavy.]

I should have brought a lifting bot along with me. --Or I could probably build one in the time it takes you to get it up the stairs.

[And shut up, man, he's making decent time. This stupid sofa is only around eight feet high and full of eaten upholstery.]

...What'd you make it out of? Pine cones?

...No, but now that you mention it, I think I've got a project for some evening. Pine cone robot. I like it.
