It's not a motion I perform often, or with such frequency. It'll take time but...what else do we have here? [She looks up at Remy with a quirked brow, somewhat concerned by his smile but not pressing it. Whatever the cause, she doubted there was much she could do at the moment.

The requested hand is offered without further comment, though she is curious as to what it is he intends to do.]

True. If nothin' else, we got plenty'a time here.

[He takes the offered hand and, very gently, starts to massage her wrist. It takes a good amount of concentration, though, since he's charging the fingertips of his gloves ever-so-slightly to generate enough heat to soothe the ache more quickly.]

[Adele's slight frown at the ache smooths out into a half smile, more than a little surprised and mildly impressed by this skill.] Now this is a handy trick.

[Gambit gives a small laugh.] Don't work here as good as it did back home. Keepin' the right charge goin' is a lot harder here.

[After another moment or two, he pauses, letting the charge die away.]

Feelin' any better?

The power cap, or...whatever it is called, yes? Obi-Wan said it was the reason for his lack of Force sensitivity when I last spoke to him. I should be grateful there's nothing of me that is thus affected.

[She curls her fingers inward and twists her wrist once Remy is finished and nods, looking back up with a smile.] Much, thank you Remy.

Yeah, that. It's like gettin' used to the mutation all over again. [He's just glad he hasn't woken himself up with an exploding pillow yet. That's something he never cares to repeat.

He matches that smile easily.] De rien.

[And suddenly, something has caught up to him.]

Wait... Obi-Wan from Star Wars?

It must be frustrating for you. I'm sorry. [She gives her wrist one last twist before turning her focus back to the targets at the end of the room. She's about to throw when...]

I- merde. [It went wide. Flew off to the side far from the target. She sighs and turns her attention back to Gambit.] Yes, Obi-Wan Kenobi from Star Wars. He is here. He is...

[A faint duck of her head, remembering a their conversation a few nights ago.] ...very kind. In person.

[He shrugs. It is pretty frustrating - especially re-adjusting every time the power levels are tweaked, dieu he's not looking forward to that when he gets back from the mission - but it could be worse.

It's a little hard to mask his amusement at that faint head duck, though. Tempting to pick on her. Very tempting. But he'll behave.]

Seemed like he would be from the movies. I'd be kinda s'prised if a Jedi showed up wasn't actin' the good guy part.

That's left to the Sith, if I remember correctly. It's not that I wouldn't expect him to be kind I just...He helped me work through a few issues. Without judgement of any sort. I wasn't expecting that. [Adele hadn't expected to make a friend out of him either, or to make one in Gambit. She's glad for it though.]

...I should. [She nods back to the target.] Resume. Yes?

That's one t'ing this place is good for, at least. [The lack of judgement, he means. Jubilee had stunned him when he first arrived by trusting him right off the bat. Funny how this place works.

Rather than dwell on it, though, he nods.]

May as well keep goin' 'til you're either outta cards or need to rest your wrist. You're pickin' up on this real quick, doc.

For which I am grateful. [She nods to herself and rolls her wrist, turning to make her first throw post massage. This one sails true and flies through the center of teh closet target. She repeats this twice more, managing to keep them going through the ring.]

I just...memorize how it feels. It is how I learned to dance, how I learned to play the piano. Mental programming, I suppose? If I know how it is supposed to feel when done correctly, it is easier for me to repeat the motion.

Makes sense. Jus' means you know how it's done.

[He gives a low whistle as the third card sails through the ring.]

Gettin' good at that one. T'ink you can manage a movin' target?

[She pauses and shakes out her wrist before offering Gambit a quick nod.]

Oui. It will be a few throws before I can time it properly, but not all targets will be stationary, yes?

Non. You're lucky if you find one standin' still.

[Gambit, never one to do things the conventional way if he can help it, tosses a charged card towards the switch he set to change the stationary targets to moving. The movement is slow, but should present more of a challenge.]

All 'bout timin', that's all.

[Adele watches the closes target start to move, rubbing the corner of one card between her fingers while she tries to find the pace for it. When would be best to throw? Counting along with her pulse, she waits until it's come back again before throwing her card, the timing off just enough that it doesn't even skim the outside of the ring. She frowns, counts off again and repeats the motion. Little better, but not much. Timing, it seems, would take her longer to pin down.]

[He grins despite himself.]

Timin's the hardest part, ain't it? Try throwin' when it's jus' startin' to come back to the middle. Oughta match up better then.

For most anything, timing is the hardest to pin down. [She tries another throw, and misses again.] ...merde.

[Still, not everything would come easy. Most things did not. She would just have to drill, and drill, and drill until it became second nature. However long that took, she didn't know. Adele nods to Gamibt's advice, waits, and makes her next throw. This one sails through the ring, not dead center, and it clips the hoop, but it's better than anything she managed before.]

[Yep. Definitely a very fast learner. He gives a few claps for that one.]

There you go. Knew you'd get it.

[Adele offers a slight bow of her head to Gambit before taking aim and throwing again once it's in rage, this one going neater, sailing through without clipping.] I have an excellent instructor.
