1st Card Dealt [Action]

[Luceti, today, there is a very large, sturdy cardboard box lying in the plaza. It’s not walking around, just sitting there, with one foot poking out at a somewhat awkward angle from one corner. It was dumped, at some point in the night, on the front step of the Item Shop, and there it remains. Its occupant has only just now woken up, and he’s not too thrilled. From time to time, the box rustles, and occasionally there are muffled curses in Cajun French.

It’s a tight fit in this here box when you’re too tall to really fit in it.

Eventually, once he’s managed to untangle himself from the knot the Malnosso have practically twisted him into and gotten out of this box, Gambit will be making the rounds through the shops in the plazas. Dressed in just his New Feather pants. He is bent on at least finding his coat. The half-naked part doesn’t bother him in the slightest, but he likes that coat. From there, it’s time to get a feel for the neighborhood. If he’s gonna be stuck here, he’s gonna know his way around.

Feel free to run into Gambit at any point in his adventure~]

[She looks in bad shape - the impact wasn't anything she won't feel very disoriented from, and she's flat on the ground, dazed and generally looking very out of it. But then she grits her teeth, forces herself to breathe, and tries to move. Her muscles are resisting, but her fingers twitch a bit. Ugggh...

[Merde. And it's best not to move people hurt like this, isn't it? Remy frowns, thinking up a plan as quick as he can, and starts to shrug out of his coat. She probably needs it more than him.]

[Wheeeze. Ugh, that hurt. Blink, blink blink. there's someone there isn't there? She can sense it and is trying to will herself to respond, but being winded, it's not working well]

[Don't freak out too much once you can see clear and have a Cajun looming over you.

He's decided on the journal tactic. Although his knowledge of how to work it is a little limited. Better than leaving some girl stranded.]

Gonna see if I can find a doctor 'round here for you. That is, if I can get this t'ing to work.

[Okay, some more labored breathing and then... there. Her hand balls into a fist. She goes to get into a "on her knees" position at least. Or tries to - it's still an effort, but when was being a Slayer not effort?]

[Eyebrow quirk. Well, nevermind the "not moving the injured person" idea, then. Maybe she does have some kind of healing factor going on. He'll just offer a hand for help straightening up if she wants it.]

At least you seem to be bouncin' back pretty quick.

[Pride... or- oh no screw pride- she takes the hand if it'll help her to her feet. She tries to move her neck - nope, still hurts too much - but at least the winded-ness and the temporary paralysis is fading. Ow]

[Okay... shakily on her feet now, she leans a little onto the hand she's holding with Gambit while he waits for her neck to feel right again]

Will be, but I've got a glame of a guy willing to stand over me. Might as well thank 'em.

[His only response to the surprise and the compliment is a laugh. At least, he'll take it as a compliment. The eyes have scared the hell out of enough people back home that this was a mild reaction.]
